Description
This razor handle was handcrafted by Robert Quinn from Bocote which grows in Mexico and Central America, including Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Colombia. It also is found in the Caribbean, including the islands of Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. Bocote sapwood is usually light brown, but may also be brownish-red, yellow, or pale green. The heartwood ranges in color from a light golden brown to a chocolate brown, with irregular reddish to dark brown streaks. Bocote is usually straight grained with a medium to coarse texture. Bocote is ideal for decorative accents in small projects. Its ability to be drilled end-grain and develop a high luster in finishing makes it popular for pen makers.
This razor handle is 3.875 inches long and weighs 1.6 ounces.
