Description
This razor was handcrafted by Robert Quinn from Stainless Steel. Stainless steels are notable for their corrosion resistance, which increases with increasing chromium content. The corrosion resistance of iron-chromium alloys was first recognized in 1821 by French metallurgist Pierre Berthier, who noted their resistance against attack by some acids and suggested their use in cutlery. Metallurgists of the 19th century were unable to produce the combination of low carbon and high chromium found in most modern stainless steels, and the high-chromium alloys they could produce were too brittle to be practical. In 1872, the Englishmen John T. Woods and John Clark patented a “Water Resistant” alloy in Britain, that would today be considered a stainless steel.
This razor handle can be fitted with either a Mach 3 or a Fusion head. Please select your preference from the available options.
The Gillette Mach 3 is a line of safety razors introduced in 1998 and the three blade design allows for a shave with less pressure to the skin and with fewer strokes, thereby reducing skin irritation.
The Gillette Fusion is a line of safety razors introduced in 2006. The Fusion has five blades on the front, and a single sixth blade on the rear for precision trimming and a smooth, comfortable shave.
