This is a handcrafted handle by Robert Quinn from Koala Burl wood that grows along the Chilean coast.  The heartwood is reddish brown to bright Cherry red.  Koala Burl is a rare wood and rarely seen outside of South America.  Koala is used for furniture, cabinetry and cooperage.
